Monday - Thursday 10:00 am to 1:00 pm

Neighbors may shop in the Choice Food Pantry for a 7-day supply of food. Residents living in zip codes 43201, 43202, 43210 and 43211 are eligible to receive food assistance one time each month. Other Franklin County residents are eligible to receive food once each year. 

To visit the Choice Food Pantry, neighbors must bring:

  • Photo identification for each adult in the household
  • Proof of address (a lease; a mortgage; or a current water, gas, or electric bill) for each adult in the household 
  • A medical card or a birth certificate for each child in the home 

clothing room

tuesday 10:00 AM TO 1:00 PM

The clothing room distributes gently used clothing to children and adults. Any resident of Franklin County may visit the clothing room once each month to shop for up to four outfits per person in their household.

To visit the clothing room, neighbors must bring:

  • Photo identification for each adult in the household
  • Proof of address (a lease; a mortgage; or a current water, gas, or electric bill) for each adult in the household 
  • A medical card or a birth certificate for each child in the home 

 


Monthly produce Markets

Through our collaboration with the Mid-Ohio Foodbank, we host a monthly free produce market for Franklin County residents in any zip code. Produce markets are first come first served, and are held at 1950 N 4th St., Suite J, Columbus OH 43201


Free Tax Preparation with AARP

Thursdays from February 2 - april 13 by appointment

Call 614-297-0592 to schedule an appointment to prepare and file your taxes for free with the help of a trained AARP volunteer. Find out what to bring with you here. AARP representatives are present on site (1950 N 4th St. Suite J) at the pantry. Please enter through pantry doors and check in at check-in desk.

NSI distributes baskets of seasonal foods for the Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas holidays. Our holiday food programs are available to residents living in 43201, 43202, 43210, and 43211. Advance sign-up required between the dates listed above.


Back-To-School Program

2017 Sign-Ups July 5-July 31

School supply donations accepted year round

NSI collects and distributes backpacks, writing utensils, paper, calculators, pens, and other essentials that kids need for a productive school year to children in grades K-12. This program is available to residents living in zip codes 43201, 43202, 43210 and 43211. Learn more about how you can help with this important time of year here.


Christmas Gift Adoptions

2016 SIGN-UPS: MON. OCTOBER 3 - THURS. NOVEMBER 3

NSI's Christmas adoption program pairs children living in zip codes 43201, 43202, 43210, and 43211 with donors who purchase toys and other necessities for Christmas. Parents must be registered at the pantry and sign-up in advance between the dates listed above.
